This necklace carries 2 tiny seeds from the Dawn Redwood tree, thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in China in 1944. The little seeds were distributed around the world for study, and one of those seeds found its new home in Cambria, CA, next door to Gwynnie's studio and home. It is a magnificant tree full of grace and strength, and a perfect example of the strength we all have deep within us. The antiqued brass bezel is 1" x 1 1/2" and carries 2 seeds on either side of the word "strength," which is printed on parchment paper, all tucked underneath ICE resin. A handcrafted leaf made out of fine silver metal clay hangs below, reminding us that seeds grow into big trees. Peach colored fresh water pearls and blue vintage glass beads are handlinked with Argentium sterling silver wire, followed by oxidized sterling silver chain.
