I love jewelry.
| My first memory of wearing jewelry was in 1967 at the age of four in Juneau, Alaska. My great aunt Leda sent us a care package for Christmas, and wrapped inside was a silky red dress, a pair of clear plastic “high heel” sandals and a matching necklace and earring set just for me. Those shiny, plastic baubles were the most precious and beautiful things my young eyes had ever seen! I happily paraded around our little apartment wearing my new outfit and pretty jewelry, mugging for the camera as if I were Queen for the day (I still have the picture to prove it!). I think that care package from Aunt Leda years ago, with treasures tucked away inside, helped pave the way for my love of adornment. |

I still parade around in my baubles, only this time it’s baubles I create! Sometimes I’ll wear the occasional high heel if I don’t have to walk too far, but jewelry is always draping me, high heels or not. I’ve had various jobs over the years (retail, aesthetician, make-up artist, business owner, re-entry student, community college English teacher), but the one thing that was consistent was my love of jewelry. No matter what I did I wore jewelry.
I’ve been an artist my entire life, drawing inspiration from the wonderfully wacky and varied life around me. Whether it was back packing in the Sierras, taking another art class, traveling to other countries, living in a big city, or observing the people and shapes around me, I have always created something based on those experiences. I knew that in order to continue to feed my warped soul I needed to embrace my creativity full force. And when people would stop me in stores and on the street asking about the interesting jewelry I was wearing, I knew I was on to something! I could create and be fed (both physically and spiritually!) doing something I’ve loved to do my entire life: create beautiful adornments. Now I am a full time artist making totally rockin’ and beautiful jewelry that loves to adorn beautiful bodies.
My cool musician husband, three frisky felines and two precocious canines also inspire me on a daily basis. They join me in my sky blue and purple studio when they’re feeling a bit neglected and need a pat on the head (husband included).
I love, love, love jewelry
and am so happy to create beautiful pieces for you to enjoy!
